Product Specifications

How much lift do TopTiger 4x4 springs provide?

Most applications get a 2-inch lift, and selected models support up to 3 inches. The exact height depends on your vehicle model and configuration — check the fitment table in our product catalog, or ask us with your vehicle details and we'll confirm.

Are TopTiger shocks tuned for comfort or performance?

Both — comfort first, without giving up capability. Our shocks are tuned for a smooth ride in daily driving while noticeably improving control off-road. Every component is built from premium materials and rigorously durability-tested before it ships.

Installation & Setup

How are the shock struts installed and adjusted?

Our shocks use a threaded body for adjustable ride height. We preset them to 2" or 3" based on your order, and your installer can fine-tune from there. A useful rule of thumb: compressing the spring by 1 cm raises the vehicle body by roughly 1 cm.

Is a wheel alignment necessary after installation?

Yes — strongly recommended. Changing shocks and ride height alters your suspension geometry. A wheel alignment restores the correct angles, keeping the vehicle stable, safe, and easy on your tyres. Skipping it is the most common cause of uneven tyre wear after a lift.

Professional Installation

For best performance — and to keep your warranty valid — have your kit fitted by a certified professional following our installation guide.

Installation Warning

Only certain high-pressure monotube shocks can be mounted inverted. Twin-tube shocks must never be installed upside down.

Performance & Usage

Will my vehicle feel more stable after installation?

Yes. Our springs improve stability and load support, and paired with our shocks the ride becomes noticeably smoother — responsive handling with a proper balance of comfort and control, on and off the pavement.

Can I use TopTiger shocks with my factory springs?

Not recommended. Our shocks and springs are engineered as a matched system — the front shocks especially. Mixing them with factory springs means neither performs as designed. For the results you're paying for, run the full kit together.

Troubleshooting

My lift height didn't meet expectations — why?

The most common reasons, roughly in order:

  • Your stock suspension's baseline height differs from the factory spec we lift from
  • On older vehicles, the suspension may have sagged or been modified previously
  • The kit may not be the correct application for your exact model and configuration
  • Installation may not have been completed correctly

If you've checked these and the numbers still don't add up, send us photos and measurements — our engineers will help you diagnose it.

Will the springs sag after installation?

All coil springs settle by about 5 mm shortly after fitting — this is a normal break-in characteristic, not a defect, and it doesn't affect performance. Ride height stabilises once the break-in period is over.
