Suspension FAQ
Expert answers for your off-road adventures. Everything you need to know about TopTiger4x4 suspension systems.
📐 Product Specifications
How much lift can TopTiger4x4 springs provide?
We provide a 2-inch lift for most applicable vehicle models, with some models capable of a 3-inch lift. The exact height depends on your vehicle model and configuration.
Are TopTiger shocks focused on comfort?
Yes. Our shocks are tuned for ride comfort while still improving off-road capability — so you get a smoother drive whether you're commuting daily or heading off-road. All components are made from premium materials and rigorously tested for durability.
🔧 Installation & Setup
How are the shock struts installed?
Our shocks use a threaded design for adjustable height. We typically preset them to 2" or 3" based on your needs, and you can fine-tune during installation. As a guide, compressing the spring by 1 cm raises the vehicle body by roughly 1 cm.
Is a wheel alignment necessary after installation?
Yes — we strongly recommend it. Replacing shocks can change your suspension geometry. A wheel alignment restores the correct angles, keeping the vehicle stable, safe, and easy on tyres.
For best performance and to keep your warranty valid, have your kit fitted by a certified professional.
Only certain high-pressure monotube shocks can be installed inverted. Twin-tube shocks must never be mounted upside down.
⚡ Performance & Usage
Will my vehicle feel more stable after installation?
Yes. Our springs improve stability and load support, and paired with our shocks the ride becomes noticeably smoother — giving you responsive handling with a good balance of comfort and control.
Can I use TopTiger shocks with my factory springs?
Not recommended. Our products are engineered as a matched system — especially the front shocks. For the best results and proper system matching, pair them with TopTiger springs. The full kit is designed to work together as one package.
🛠️ Troubleshooting
My lift height didn't meet expectations — why?
A few common reasons:
- Your stock suspension's baseline height differs from expected
- On older vehicles, the suspension may have been modified before
- The kit may not be the correct application for your model
- Installation may not have been done correctly
Will the springs sag after installation?
All springs settle by about 5 mm shortly after fitting. This is a normal break-in characteristic and won't affect performance — it stabilises once the break-in period is over.
